can’t access pouch if bottles positioned in back
    Rating:2 out of 5 stars
I tried the Fuel Belt, Nathan Belt, and Amphipod in a store before choosing the Amphipod belt.

The Nathan Belt had the most comfortable elastic band, and the bottles were easy to remove and place onto the belt. However, I didn’t like the placement of the bottles as the front bottles interferred with my arm swing (on the 4-bottle belt). Even if you remove the front two bottles, the cup holster still got in my way. With the 2-bottle belt, it rode comfortably on my backside, but I couldn’t reach the pouch to grab jelly bellies and goo on the run. With the bottles in front, I ran into the problem of my arms swinging into the bottles again.

The Fuel Belt was comfy, but not as comfy as the Nathan. Had the same problem as the Nathan in terms of arms hitting the bottles and not being able to access the pouch when it’s situated on my back. Additional disadvantage of the Fuel Belt is that it takes two hands to place the bottles back in the holster. Also, I seem to fall between sizes where the small was too small and the medium too large.

I ended up purchasing the Amphipod b/c of its flexibility. I’m 5′3″, 110 lb. Although it took a few tries to figure out how to configure the belt, I finally got it so that the bottles would stay out of the way and I could still reach the pouch to grab my jelly bellies on the run. I wish I could run with the belt on my hips, but it’s much more comfortable on my waist. With it on my hips, even though I tightened it completely, it had a tendency of riding up b/c of the movement of my legs or when removing the bottles. Additionally, you could feel the weight of the bottles bouncing more with the belt around my hips #especially in the rear!#. Around my waist, the rear bottles sat comfortably on the small of my back #sideways to minimize sloshing#. I found that the belt stayed in place as long as I wore it just tight enough to wrap comfortably around my waist. It didn’t move much b/c it naturally sat in the curve of my waist #and I don’t have curves!#, so I didn’t feel constricted at all. It takes a little getting used to, but it’s not uncomfortable at all.

Some people mentioned that it was hard to snap the bottles in and out. I found this to be extremely convenient since you can access the bottles with just one hand, allowing your other arm to maintain its swing. It takes a little practice to get the feel for it, but it was very easy to remove and replace the bottles in the holster. If you’re unsure, just jiggle the bottle slightly to make sure it’s locked in place. Again, you can do this all with one hand, unlike with the Fuel Belt. Overall I’m happy with my purchase. I wish the belt part was as comfortable as the Nathan belt, but I need the adjustability factor due to my petite frame. Hope this helps!

Nathan Speed 2 Waist Pack over a good buy…
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
If I could have given 3 1/2 stars that is what I would rate the Nathan Speed 2 Waistpack.

Overall I like the Nathan Speed 2 Waistpack, and I am happy with it. It is lightweight, even when water is in the flasks, has just enough storage to carry keys and a energy bar or energy pack for fuel during a longer run.

My issues with it have probably been noted in other reviews…

    1. I have had the flasks fall out a few times, one time during an 8 mile run at just over a mile…& of course I didn’t notice until I was at a mile & half…luckily the flask was still there on my way back. The other times I noticed almost immediately…so now I am constantly fidgiting with them to make sure that they are there.

    2. The belts are sized kind of small. I am glad I heeded the advice and got a medium. I guess if you wear around your torso (above the belly button) then the sizing may be accurate, but if you plan on wearing lower, I recommend going a size up.

  3. California Runner Says:

    Nice Design, Poor Nozzles
    Rating:3 out of 5 stars
I purchased this Nathan Speed 2 Waistpack several months ago and have been using it on long training runs for a marathon in December. I definitely agree with the others who have commented here about these packs running small. Mine fits very snugly and I would recommend that anyone buying one consider sizing up. The design of the pack is great and the bottles fit nicely in the two plastic holders. The small storage area in the pack works well for a phone, ID, keys and gels.

My biggest complaint is that the nozzles on the bottles constantly leak. This is incredibly annoying on a run and is a problem that should be looked at by Nathan. I have carefully hand washed the bottles/nozzles and have also experimented putting them in the dishwasher (manufacturer says it is okay). The seals on the bottle nozzles simply do not work well. I also went to 3 very knowledgeable and reputable running shops in our area (which are also Nathan dealers) looking for alternative nozzles and everyone acknowledged the problem (one even said that future Nathan bottles would have different nozzles). What was funny were the unsolicited comments I received from runner/customers who shared my frustration over the leaky nozzles.

    Good luck!!

Great for long or hard runs
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I’m very happy with this purchase. It has been a great addition to my long, strenuous runs (I do 7+ miles). I especially like the small pouch between the flasks, which I can store my MP3 player, sports energy gel packets, or car keys in.

My one complaint is the rather limited length of velcro on the straps. I’ve lost some weight, and now my once perfect fit large has to be tightened as much as possible to keep from bouncing too much when I run. My options soon will be to see if I can add additional velcro, or buy the next smaller size.

Overall a great investment for long distance runners.

great for holding water while running
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I got the pink one, naturally. First I tried the Medium and it was too small. I don’t consider myself a Large, but that is the one that fit in the end. I wear size 8 pants. The pouch is only big enough to hold my cell phone and nothing else. It was awkward at first to run with this on, but I quickly got used to it. It’s better than a camel back in that it doesn’t jump around.

    comfortable waist pack
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
This is my first hydration pack I have bought so I am not an expert. I like the velcro strap as it is easy too adjust, though runs a little big for me( I use a hairband to hold the loose flap). I am aware that I have the pack on when running but after a while you forget about it.

The water bottles don’t carry a lot, but then, more fluid may cause more movement of the pack. I don’t find it easy to get fluid out of the bite cap( maybe my inexperience) and can get sticky if you use a sports drink- so I have been sticking to H2O.

All in all, my main feature was for comfort and I prefer it to carrying a handheld

I bought this just in time to use on my second half marathon and I love it! It is comfortable, not too heavy and gets the job done very well. The bottles are easy to get in and out, I have room for my GU packs and my cell phone… I can’t say enough good things about this.

  10. J. Smith Says:

    great purchase
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I bought the Nathan Speed 2 Waistpack about a month ago for my half-marathon training and I’m very happy with my purchase. It is very easy to get the bottles in and out of the holsters using just one hand, and I am surprised at how comfortable wearing it is. The bottles do not bounce around at all. A couple people in my running group commented on how stable it looked. The pocket is also great for holding gels, ID, phone etc and there’s even a little clip to hold a key.

My hips are on the larger side (I wear a women’s size 10-12), so I was worried that the size large would be a bit snug, but it fits just fine. It would be nice to see this product (and ones similar) available in a larger size — I know I’m not the largest runner out there.

I do recommend applying some body glide around your waist before wearing though. The one time I didn’t I had a little bit of chafing on my back, but whenever I use the body glide, its just fine. The bottles also leak a little bit if you don’t close them tightly enough which is sometimes hard to do, but its a pretty minor issue.

This is my first water belt and before buying I read reviews of other products. I’m quite pleased with my decision.

This is a great product. I prefer it over my other water belt as I can slide this one down onto my hips and it will stay there as I run. The elastic in this is comfortable and I like the bottle holders better than my other kind which has an elastic that goes around the top of the bottle.

  13. Liz Says:

    Definitely worth it!
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I am very satisfied with this product. I did not have problems with the bottles leaking. I was afraid of buying a belt that would be to small for me but it fits fine. I am 5.9, 135 lbs and bought a medium. I wear it above and below my waist and it is very comfortable either way. I wear my belt with the bottles “behind” me because I don’t want to feel distracted with my arms possibly hitting the bottles when I run. My running partner wears her belt with the bottles facing forward and she has no problems running that way. The bag is big enough for me to hold my pepperspray and cellphone (which is the size of a deck of cards). Overall very happy with my purchase

  14. Running Mama to Seven Says:

    Love this!
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I am a minimalist when I run and can’t stand to “feel” anything. I am especially sensitive to anything that rubs. This is awesome. Can’t even tell it’s there for the most part. I wear it low on my hips and facing the front with my top pulled over it. It seems to adjust to a comfortable ride within the first few steps. The only time it moves after that is when I am going up a huge hill. It is easy to pull back down into place. I was worried about the liquid sloshing around and moving it, but you can’t even feel that…. you can hear it a little obviously. The divided pouch is good size as well, but doesn’t add bulk. I have my phone, lip balm, a packet of power chews and tissue in it and my iShuffle clipped to the outside loop and it is perfect. The velcro closure is a good one, so you have to use both hands to get it open, but I’d rather have that than everything scattered over 10 miles. I also love that you can get the flasks in and out without looking down and that the spouts are rubbery so if you hit your teeth it doesn’t hurt. Until recently my runs haven’t been long enough to need hydration/nutrition, but now that I am going longer, more often, I am so glad to have this!

    Great for its purpose…
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Great belt, couldn’t ask for anything more when it comes to a quality belt that holds the bottles securely! Great storage capabilities for those long runs. Only con is that at times (typically depending on what material I’m running in) it does slide up and down. It’s easy enough to ignore after a few steps, and therefore is a small issue for me. Overall, great product and I wouldn’t think twice about recommending this to anyone.

  16. S. Wadhawan Says:

    Great for running long distances
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Having water available when running long distances (over 10 miles) makes a big difference. This belt is very comfortable and light – you forget you are even wearing it. The water bottle doesn’t leak or bounce. The product is designed for easy pull-out if you wanna drink while running.

  17. Jennifer Reed Says:

    When in doubt, go smaller!
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
All of these 5-star reviews were spot on EXCEPT for the ones referring to size. If anyone is a new runner like me and is still in the “shrinking” phase of their training, like the title says, “When in doubt, go smaller.” I was definitely in doubt, but went with the large anyway and it turns out, I should have gone with the medium. I’m sure I’ll be able to sew on extra velcro to make it work. But I also realized that this 2-fer version does not suffice for 10+ mile runs. I’ve since ordered the 4-pack Nathan in a medium and have no complaints. Great equipment!!!!

I’ve seen some reviews indicate the bottles don’t stay in their holsters. In the words of Ron White, “you can’t fix stupid.” Please people, run with just a bit of sense: it’s easy to feel around to make sure the bottles are all the way down in the holster and secure. And if you MUST bend over, understand they may fall out.

    I LOVE the Nathan gear!!!!

    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I got this hydration/fuel belt for my marathon training. I’ve taken it with me on every training run and I’m pretty happy with it. The velcro is very secure and easily adjustable. I’m 5′3, small-frame, and there is about 3-inch velcro overlap when I wear the belt on my waist. Wearing it on my hips would require stretching the elastic part quite a bit to get a good velcro contact. The pouch holds my phone, two energy gels and my keys. A large cell phone would be a very tight fit. It’s hard to keep the belt on my hips, because it rides up slowly, so I mostly wear it on my waist, and that makes it stay in place during my runs. My flasks were stained by a colored sports drink mix and the color wouldn’t come off in the dishwasher, but it didn’t affect anything else. Overall this belt is very good for the price you pay.

    Great belt for running
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I have tried a few belts before, all with one large bottle sitting at an angle centered in back. They all bounced, rode up, and drove me crazy. I bought the Nathan belt based on reviews on Amazon. The belt works great. There is the slightest feeling of movement right at first but I didn’t even notice it after the first minute of running. The belt stayed snug and didn’t ride up and flop. I wore the belt low on my hips as that is more comfortable for me and had the bottles in back. I found them easy to access and replace while still running. I made sure they were pushed well down in their holders (another review said they had fallen out) and I had no problem at all. The bottles themselves are easy to grip and drink from. I had no water leakage from the bottles.

I run about 4-5 miles in very hot/humid weather. I also sweat a lot! I found the 2 10oz bottles to be perfect for me.

The only snag was on sizing. Several people said to “size up”. I measured my hips – 37.5 inches. I bought a large and was worried it would be tight. I wear the belt very tight around my hips to reduce bounce (and it has elastic). Worn this way it’s almost too big on me. Maybe there is some variation in the production and they aren’t all the same size, or some people wear them tighter than others, but I definitely would not advise anyone to “size up” from the medium to large based on my experience.

Overall, I’ve never been so pleased with a water belt before. I’ll continue to use this product and will be getting the 4 bottle version once my mileage increases. Highly recommend.

I hardly even notice it’s on me, it’s great! I think the caps are pretty easy to open. I will say I am a size 23-24 waist, and I got the small & it’s pretty snug. So I think it runs a bit on the smaller size.

Like Not Wearing a Belt at All
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I used to run long runs with a “small” Camelbak backpack, but just hated the way the water sloshed around throughout the run. So, I researched hydration belts and settled on this one based on the customer reviews. I’m very pleased with my purchase – as usual, Amazon reviewers did not disappoint!

This belt secures well and doesn’t shift around throughout your workout. It is comfortable, and the bottles can easily be removed and replaced with one hand. I love the divided pouch – lets you keep gels separate from your keys and phone. I figure the belt was designed to be worn with the flasks on the front, but I like them in the back instead, and have found it very easy to use the belt in this manner.

I have had this belt about a month, and have found I take it out on even short 3-5 mile runs, which has really improved my overall disposition about running, as well as my endurance because I don’t get dehydrated now. I never took my old Camelbak out on anything shorter than a 7 or 8 mile run because it was so sloshy.

If you’re looking for an affordable, practical, and comfortable hydration belt, this one is a good choice. One note: I think they do run a bit small – I have a 30″ waist and bought a medium. It fits perfectly, but I can’t imagine it would fit someone with a 36″ waist very well as the size chart suggests.

  27. K. Byrd Says:

    Fits Perfect!
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I was a little nervous ordering this product with other reviewers advising to go a size up due to the product’s fit- I stayed with medium, even though my waist is right around 36″-37″ … and when I got it, it fit perfectly. The waistband is quite elastic- I wear it very snug when I run, so going a size up would have probably meant cinching it down to as small as possible. With the Medium, I can lose a couple of pounds and it will still fit. After the first mile on the first run, I didn’t even notice it. It did not slow down my normal pace- and gave me that little extra hydration that you need on longer runs! I would recommend it to anyone needing a hydration belt!

  28. Oprah Says:

    It’s Floppy!
    Rating:2 out of 5 stars
I run 4 times a week for 30-60 minutes. I get thirsty and want water. I ran with it, totally excited. The belt wouldn’t stay where I placed it ( on my hip line) and would cinch up to my waist where it was too large to fit snuggley. I was adjusting it throughout my run and could not find a “sweet” spot to harness at; no matter were I placed, it flopped–on both levels.

Also, the two water bottles stuck out way too much. I have a large chest, so wearing it infront seemed to be some embarassingly obscene metaphore. Wearing it in the back, I’m unable to reach.

…I’m returning and will keep searching.

  29. Renee Parsons Says:

I had purchased the small and had to return it for the medium. Fits perfect. I am a size 4 to 6 and I do have some room for growth but I wear it down on my hips and I love the way it stays in place, even running 1/2 marathons. The water flasks are sufficient for me but if you run more than 13.1, you may want to consider the 4 flask. This way you don’t have to be slowed down in the water lines. :)

When I received my water pack, I was a little bummed at first. It was the wrong color, but I was over it because it came so fast! Then I noticed it was the wrong size. I ordered a small blue one and received a large gray one.I needed the right one ASAP because I had a 20 mile run that weekend. I contacted the company and they got back to me immediately. They didn’t have what I needed in stock so they ordered me a BRAND NEW ONE! My original order was a used one at $24.99 with free shipping. I ended up with a brand new one ($45.99) and they overnight shipped it so I would have it in time for my run. Then they mailed me shipping stickers to return the large gray one. This is the BEST customer service I have ever had!!!! Thank you!!

I’ve never used a water belt before, but I wanted one for training during > 10 mi runs. So, although I don’t have a good baseline, I think it is somewhat uncomfortable, but I expected that, and I think it’s pretty good for what it is. It doesn’t slip around too much once you get it tight enough, and it’s fine once you get used to it. I think it was a good buy.

I bought this belt while training for my first marathon and am extremely pleased with it! Well-constructed and comfortable to wear, the sizing seemed fine to me. The bottles were held securely during all my runs, and were easy to take in and out. The pack seemed to be the perfect size to hold a couple gels, chapstick, key, and cell phone if need be. I chose to wear in the front so it didn’t bounce up and down too much and was very comfortable, never any chafing or other discomfort. Would definitely recommend for runs in the low to mid teens- I’d probably get the four bottle belt for anything more. But having said that, I wore it when I ran my first marathon and it worked great- very pleased with the product and highly recommend to others!

    Best hydration belt out there
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
After much research (including trying on 2 different brands) I finally decided to go with the Nathan and am very happy with my choice. Here’s a summary of what I found (via the internet and from road testing):

    1) The Nathan Speed 2 gets consistently great reviews.

There are three 3-star reviews on amazon (2 are critical of the sizing recommendations and one thought it should hold more water….go figure). The rest are 4 and 5 star. If you google Nathan 2 reviews, you will find some independent reviews that are all positive. Also, it seems to be the concensus choice on running forums (see Slow twitch and others).

2)Its closest competitor (Fuel Belt) doesn’t have as many positive reviews. The main issues seem to be difficulty in getting the flask back into the holster with one hand and a leaky cap. When I tried the Fuel Belt at the store, I verified that it is extremely difficult to replace the flask with one hand because the elastic bands that hold it secure collapse (they don’t stay open). This is not the case with the Nathan, which has a plastic holster. It is very easy to put the flask back in the holster with one hand.

3)There is no bounce, even with the bottles full. This was my main worry about hydration belts. I wear it just below my navel so that it doesn’t migrate up as I run. If you wear it low, I think it may slide upwards during your run. Also, I tighten it so that it is snug (yet still comfprtable).

    4) The pouch isn’t huge but it’s big enough to carry my cell phone, keys (there’s a clip for the keys so that it is very secure), a gel pack, ID, and a little cash. Plus the puch cover closes securely with velcro.

    5) As far as sizing, I think it is a good idea to go to the store and try on the different sizes. I am about 5′8″ and 153 lbs (male) and my pants/shorts are usually about 30-31″. I tried both the medium and the small. Believe it or not, the small fit a lot better. I know everyone is saying that this item runs small and to get one size up, but this advice would not have worked for me. When deciding which size to get, some important points to consider are what is your TRUE waist size (not what can you squeeze into or what do you wish your size was). But it would be best to just go and try them on. Also, consider the possibility that your waist will decrease is size (especially if you just started running) and/or that the elastic may stretch a little over time.

    6) Two 10 oz flasks might not sound like much but it’s more than enough for me (my longest runs are about 7-8 miles….for now). I think most would agree that it should be fine for the 10k range. Also, having two smaller flasks as opposed to one large bottle is preferable because it’s more balanced, less sloshy, and you can have 2 different drinks (eg one with water and the other with sports drink).

    7) Easy to clean. The opening is about 1 3/8″ wide which easily fits a regular bottle brush (i have an oxo bottle brush I bought at the grocery store).

This is an excellent product that I highly recommend. Just make sure you screw the cap on tight. Happy running!

Nice waist pack, but order size smaller then you think
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Nice product. I wear it backwards & down around my hips. Its comfortable to wear & doesn’t bounce around too much. I didn’t take the advice of others and ordered the size the chart said I would wear. It was WAY TOO BIG!! I went to walmart bought a strip of velcro, and put it on the band to make it smaller, and it now fits really well. The band is a stretchy material & you will want it kinda tight. Also running pants tend to be thinner then jeans, which is what I was wearing when I measured my hips. Definately beats running without water.

The RRS Unisex Speed 2 Energy Belt is awesome!!! I’m currently training for my fifth marathon and the use of the Energy Belt has really helped with my long distance running. The slim plastic bottles are easy to release from the belts to drink water (sports drinks) while I’m running. The velcro belt holds both bottles secure while running and isn’t bulky or “jiggly”. I recommend this belt for runners, walkers, and other sports enthusiasts who need a simple and quick way to get hydration.

It is a very comfortable fuel belt. I received a defective product. The front mesh on the pouch was not properly stitched at the border. Nice little pack. Pocket fits my clam shell cell phone, key, and a little endurance snack kind of tightly. If I leave the phone out it’s better. I guess you wouldn’t want the pocket too big or all your things would be sloshing around. Other than that I like that the bottles each hold 10 oz, and they sit flat against the body. Not obtrusive to run with.

Tested this product for a long walk-run today. Went very well, even with the bottle-half filled. It did not bother my running at all. The belt sizes tend to run small so for a petite 30 inch waist guy like me- I got medium. So just go with a size bigger.

I’ve bought this after reviewing the others and going to road runner sports and trying them. Didn’t love having to lug water around at first, but I’ve really gotten used to it. If you need to take water on your long runs, this is definitely the way to go. Love this thing so much I also bought the 4 bottle version.

I took these on a 10 mile run and the bottles held an adequate amount of water. I tried using an energy drink but the drink foamed from the constant sloshing from running. Overall not a bad product. If you buy it, make sure you get a larger size thean usual; they run a little small

read a bunch of reviews for different items as well as checking some out in a local running store, decided to go with this one. never used any type of hydration pack/system before, thought I would not like any but would be less annoyed with a waistpack than either a hand-held or backpack style. was a little odd at first but have to say this product exceeded expecations in all areas. was very comfortable, no chafing/rubbing issues and when properly tightened there is almost zero noticeable bounce. easy to get bottles in/out w/o stopping, and also can open/close bottle easily w/ teeth. storage pouch fits cell phone, keys, ID, cash w/o a problem and there is a buffer so stuff in there doesn’t get sweated on. for sizing, if you are in between, get smaller size since you will have to tighten more than a typical belt since you are running w/ it. used for up to 12 mile runs training for 1/2 marathon, no complaints at all, very happy with all aspects.

This waistpack fits well. I had no problem with sizing, and it was not bothersome at all to wear. The pouch works well for a cell phone or IPod. The bottles do not leak and are easy to get in and out of the bottle pouches. I would recommend this product.

I BOUGHT THE SMALL NATHAN SPEED 2 WAIST PACK. I AM 5 FEET 2 INCHES ,WEIGHT IS 112lbs. I HAVE A SMALL WAIST LINE. IF YOU ARE THICKER IN THE WAIST AREA THIS WOULD BE TOO SMALL, I RUN AND WORK OUT WITH WEIGHTS, and my running buddies that are taller and thin, but thicker in the waist area found it too small. if I were 1 inch bigger in the waist area, I would not be able to wear it. I like it because, it has a pocket for my keys and a separate compartment for a gel or inhaler. It is light weight, and I carry it on a long run of 10 miles or more.It comes with two 10 oz. bottles. one bottle for gatorade or juice and the other for water. ( female wear a size 2-4 size pants)

    Comfortable and Sturdy!

I am training for my first marathon, and after my first 8-miler without refreshment, knew that a water belt was a must. I just finished a long run with this belt … and must say that I am very impressed!

The belt is very sturdy and fits nicely. There is no bouncing while running, and after about a half mile of getting used to the weight of the water around my waist, I hardly noticed the belt at all. The pocket is big enough for my dinosaur of a cell phone and my car keys, with some room to spare.

Bottom line: having plenty of fluids during long runs is priceless. This belt gets the job done!

    Wonderful, Easy to Use Product

I bought this belt days before I ran a half marathon. I had never ran with any kind of a running belt/waist pack before, so I was concerned that the extra weight or the size of the pack would bother me during such a long run. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked it. It fit great and was very easy to use. I never had a single problem, and I was grateful to have water always accessible. The pouch in the middle is nice and roomy. I had enough room for an energy bar and a few packs of GU, and there is even a clip to secure car keys. I would highly recommend this product to anyone that is looking for a running belt/hydration pack. I would buy this product again in a heartbeat. Also, buying from Amazon was great. It shipped just in time before the race!

I bought this belt primarily because I was unhappy with the Amphipod belt – I wanted to find one with easier bottle removal and replacement (the Amphipod bottles fell out a lot). I was excited that this came in pink, and liked the size of the pouch. However, once I got running, I noticed that almost half of the liquid I was carrying ended up on back and dripping down my legs. It seems like there is a problem with the way the tops of the bottles are engineered – they are really difficult to close all of the way, and when you’re running, the last thing you want to do is fight with a bottle.

    Great product!!

I am soo glad I purchased this product!! Had started training to run my 1st 1/2 marathon and needed something for my long runs. Just what I needed. One important thing to keep in mind when you are deciding on what size to buy ………..When I measured my waist (I am a female) I was on the higher end of medium size, I went with the next size as many of the reviews recommended. Well it is a bit too big, doesn’t matter if I wear it on my waist or hips. I am still able to use it, but I will have to buy the medium for a better fit.

Great option for short distance running!
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
This product is cheap and still made of good quality stuff! However, you might want to get the biggest size, even if you’re a skinny person, because the belt is made for people who are between extra small and extra medium. If you are a plus size person, you might want to find a belt with an extension or go to a sporting goods store to try one on. I say this because I am not a lil guy myself. But, if you can fit the belt then you will enjoy this product. Reminder, this is not for long distance running–get the one with more bottles.

    “Hydration on the go”
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Getting into longer distance triathlons, I was looking for something that could keep me hydrated on the run after a long bike ride. This waistpack serves the purpose wonderfully. Lightweight, sturdy, does not shake or bounce on the run, has front pockets for some light food and 2 ten oz flasks. 2 nutrition flasks carry ideal amount of fluid that balances hydration with run efficiency (don’t want to carry too much weight, get exhausted and slow yourself down). Besides, running a marathon 2.5-3 hours at a stretch (even in a triathlon), I never felt the need for more. Also, during a race, hydration stations provide water so its a good idea to use this waistpack to carry only the special energy fluid your body is used to. Oh! and this works on bike too. Just turn the belt around and its good to go. All in all the product does what it is supposed to do.

I have a 31″ waist and medium (M) size barely fits me so for larger waist size I would definitely recommend a large (L).

    Happy running (-:
